This card’s image is printed on matte photo paper, which is adhered to an archival card stock. Blank inside, perfect for all occasions. The card measures 4.5×6″, and comes with a natural cream envelope, optionally packaged in an acid-free clear bag.

The story behind the image:
This painting began as an acrylic monoprint, which created a wonderful texture that I could not have predicted. I immediately saw an owl within the abstract elements of the texture, so I implemented it with oil pastels and oil paint. I also drew a very faint figure of an indigenous woman in the lower left, but I decided to leave her in an undeveloped state. To me, this looks a little ghostly and less of a distraction from the main subject of the painting. This is one of a series of owl paintings that happened in succession.
