Cerulean Song

A pregnant woman is entranced by an owl.  The pieces of this narrative came to me a bit at a time.  First the woman’s face, then the tree, owl, and background forest.  The swollen belly developed at the end of the painting process.  I entered this into a “blue theme” show, so I decided to make the title a play on the colors.
