The image of a butterfly is often seen as a symbol of regeneration and metamorphosis. This image is a reproduction close-up from one of my paintings.  The glass gem measures 30mm (approx. 1 1/8″ diameter), and is convex on one side, providing a dimensional effect to the image beneath.  Reflective metallic silver or gold leaf shines through transparent areas of the design.

Choose either a wire-wrapped or a ”simple setting”.  For the wire-wrap version, I’ve engraved the side of the glass to hold non-tarnish (silver or gold-plated) wire which wraps around the pendant, creating the bail from which it hangs. The back of the pendant is coated with a durable coating of resin. For a less delicate choice, you can instead choose a antique brass or silver plated setting. (All materials are lead and nickel free).
