This is a print of my painting, “10,000th Incarnation”. I recently created this painting in response to the WeMoon Calendar’s call for art for next year. The theme will be “Chrysalis”, and I didn’t have any paintings directly related to the theme, so I decided to create one. Actually, I find the image and idea of a cocoon to be a very fascinating one. The idea of a creature nesting within a self-created womb to wait out its growth until it emerges into a higher form of itself is one of the miracles of nature. It also speaks to the idea of self-evolving. Contemplating this, I decided to give my chrysalis a face. And why not a Buddha face? I believe that we are all on this earth to evolve and it takes many lifetimes to reach the goal.
