This is a mounted print of my painting, “A Magical Countenance”. I painted the original using oils on 4 separate layers of plexiglass. The first layer consists of the dots that make up the face (which was inspired by the face of Venus, by Botticelli). The second layer is of the veins of the face (inspired by Gray’s anatomy illustration), and the third layer includes floating flowers. The bottom layer is an abstract background of aqua blue. I decided to call her “Magical Countenance” simply because I feel that her gaze inspires tranquility and wonder.

The digital reproduction is printed on recycled paper with soy inks. You may choose between buying a flat print (8×10″ image size with colored border), a print in an ivory mat, or a print that has been mounted to a plywood panel. The flat prints are packed in an archival clear bag with mat-board backing.
Mounted prints are glued to a 1/2″ wood panel, using archival adhesive. The print is sealed with protective varnish, and the edge is painted black for a finished look. Arrives ready to hang! No framing necessary.
